Overview

Zivvvo ("we", "our", "us") is an offline-first practice application for the Zimbabwe VID provisional licence examination. This privacy policy explains how we handle your data when you use our application.

Data We Collect

Account Information

• Google account: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. This is used solely for authentication and sync.

Learning Data

• Practice attempts: Your answers, confidence levels, and session history
• Progress data: Mastery scores, streaks, XP, and topic progress
• Preferences: Your name, exam date, daily study goal, and sound settings

Technical Data

• Device identifier: A random ID stored locally on your device for sync purposes
• Usage timestamps: When you complete sessions and answer questions

How We Store Your Data

Local Storage (Primary)

All learning data is stored locally in your browser's IndexedDB. This means:

• Your data stays on your device
• The app works fully offline
• No data is sent to our servers unless you sign in

Cloud Storage (Optional)

When you sign in with Google:

• Your learning data is synced to our secure Supabase database
• Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest
• Sync is automatic and happens in the background

Data We Do NOT Collect

• Personal identification documents
• Payment information (processed securely by Paynow)
• Location data
• Browsing history outside our app
• Any data from third-party websites

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties, except:

• Google: For authentication only (OAuth sign-in)
• Supabase: Our hosting provider, which stores encrypted data on secure servers
• Paynow: For payment processing (premium features)

Content Protection

Our question bank is proprietary content. We use:

• Per-user option shuffling to trace unauthorized redistribution
• Session fingerprinting to identify leaked content
• Copyright notices embedded in content

Your Rights

You can:

• Export your learning data at any time
• Delete your account and all associated data via the Settings page
• Sign out to stop cloud syncing while keeping local data
• Use the app offline without any account

Children's Privacy

Zivvvo is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy in the app and updating the "Last updated" date.
